The Ministry of Education has expressed its willingness to support Ghana’s proposed hosting of the Industrial States in Africa (ISWA), an initiative aimed at promoting African industrialisation, local manufacturing, skills development and technology transfer.
The commitment follows a meeting between the Minister of Education and a delegation to discuss plans to integrate ISWA into the African Festival of Arts, Creativity and Culture (AFESTA), scheduled for December 9 to 11, with ISWA proposed for December 10.
The proposed hosting of ISWA is expected to reinforce Ghana’s contribution to Africa’s industrial development and create opportunities for collaboration in manufacturing, innovation and skills transfer.
